Moor End Farm

A great site in a quiet location with a very owner. Nice clean facilities, shower with plenty of hot water, a very well kept site. Pub short walk, park & ride to York a short drive away. Stayed before & will definitely be coming back.

Lovely little campsite. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner, and this really set the tone for the visit. The staff were wonderful. The facilities are small, but perfectly sized for the number of pitches. There are powerful, hot showers, a sink, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. They also have a large, well appointed family/disabled wet room. The pitches are generous and soft. They are a bit sandy, so make sure to take your longer tent pegs. Overall, we loved it there, and it is certainly on our list for another visit.

We emailed last minute to camp the next day and they accommodated us with no problem. £20 without electricity £23with seemed like a steal, especially when our tent pole snapped in half and Billy helped us out. Finding a new pole and cutting it into shape. He made sure the tent was still standing in the morning and let us keep the pole. Our neighbours were also very friendly and helpful. There’s a pub a short walk down the road and close to the park and ride. The toilets were really nice and clean. The shower looked good. There was a drinking tap outside the facilities and a capacious bin. 100% will stay here again. And there was a goose on the roof :)

Fantastic campsite, highly recommend & happily stay again. Wifey & I had a great 7 nights here in July 2025, staff were friendly & helpful, 5 min walk to excellent local pub (The Ship) & weekend river boat into York. Site is clean & well laid out, showers are superb, plenty of space & hooks. Big Tesco 8 min drive away, Park n Ride 15 mins, York 15 mins, Vue Cinema 20 mins. So well placed yet peaceful. Loved it.
