One night stop on our way to Scotland to this pretty site. Obviously very popular and conveniently located just off the A66. Reception has a small selection of items for sale and staff are friendly and helpful. Sanitary block is very good and really enjoyed my morning shower. Not the best site for us however as we have a dog and the dog walking is very, very limited. Would also advise maybe booking a hard standing as the grass pitch we were on had quite a slope to it and even using levellers we found it difficult to not be on the wonk! The grass pitches at the top of the site are also close to the busy A66, so noise was somewhat of an issue.

lovely people amazingly well maintained site, spotless toilets and showers. lovely views too. Note Wifi is terrible at 2Mbps and requires signing up to marketing spam - so usef your phone instead.

A little road noise. Good hosts and clean, tidy campsite. Stayed in campervan overnight as halfway stop on the way to Scotland.
