We recently visited Tudor World Stratford-upon-Avon as our son is currently studying the Tudors and was excited to learn more. It’s definitely not your typical museum — more of a small, themed walk-through experience — and while the displays were informative, we found that even stopping to read everything, we had seen it all within about 20 minutes. The £20 admission for a family of four felt quite expensive for the size and length of the visit. We regularly visit museums and heritage sites and usually come away feeling we’ve had great value and engagement, but unfortunately this one didn’t quite measure up for us. Although it may suit younger children or those wanting a very quick introduction to Tudor history, we found it lacked interactivity and excitement, and it didn’t hold our attention for long.

What a lovely little find. Been to Stratford before but with a dog you are limited and this gem is dog friendly too. Shame ours wouldn't climb the stairs (totally safe but dog is old) so we tag teamed the upstairs and no one minded we went the wrong way at times. It isnt the biggest museum but if you interact with everything and read the signs and sniff the smells etc it is very entertaining. Got to dress up and pretend to be royalty. For us it was fab to be out of the heat with the dog but also perfect for a rainy day. Staff were very friendly too. We also booked onto the ghost tour the next night.... review is linked to that but also recommend well the rest of the family do I baby sat the dog. Ghost tour....Sent hubby and daughter while I babysat the dog. Met by the guide in tudor costume at the main entrance. Taken into the building, very atmospheric, lights were off, minimal lighting but could see to get around. Taken around the museum (reverse to the normal day time museum) told about the various people that had died in that location and the 'ghosts' that haunt the building. About an hour although their group was small so a little quicker. They came back unscathed and informed. Donate for the little book as its really informative.

Cool museum with interactive elements. The tickets are very reasonable at £8 each. The exhibits are interesting and the place is quite small so it feels like you can take your time more. It wasn't full when we went so this definitely made it better. We spent about an hour in here, so well worth a visit!

Tudor World is well worth visiting. Although it's not a large building, that in itself is part of the experience. You can spend plenty of time reading all the information, or, like I did, take photos to read later. Don't rush through it. Watch the videos, imagine what life was like in those times, and be grateful they're in the past. Such fun.
