About Stratford Parks Riverside Holidays

Stratford Parks Riverside Holidays sits just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon, offering grass pitches with electric hook-up in a riverside setting that appeals to touring campers keen to explore Warwickshire. The location puts Shakespeare's birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre within easy reach, while the Cotswolds and Warwick Castle are both a short drive away. Pitches directly fronting the water are particularly popular, and dogs are welcome throughout.

Facilities cover the basics—showers, toilets, waste disposal and WiFi—though some visitors note the site can feel a touch tired in places and reckon a refresh wouldn't go amiss. Still, the riverside backdrop and proximity to Stratford's theatres and market town charm make it a practical, family-friendly base for a few nights under canvas in the heart of England.

What visitors say

Our first time staying on the touring site attached to this park and we are very glad we did. When you check in your are greeted by the friendly site staff which we can say are a bonus to the site. On first impression you feel that your at a well cared for site. Grass nice and short and well looked after. Facilities block while slightly dated perfectly clean and fully useable. On site bar and food area are very good quality and are often used by site staff and visitors alike and are dog friendly. Getting into Stratford-upon-Avon is within a half an hour walk along a fully wheelchair friendly footpath which is level. You can get a water taxi into Stratford-upon-Avon for £3 per person and also allows dogs for a extra £1. Nice little way to get into the town. You can get back from the town to the park also by this method not to sure if you struggle with mobility issues this ok but go along and ask the polite owners and they we help you with anything they can.

At first glance, this campsite appears to be a premium site, but unfortunately it is not. The toilet facilities are old and not clean, and the showers have a slight smell of mould. The children’s playground is outdated and, in some areas, even seems unsafe. Unfortunately, the campsite makes the experience worse with an unbelievable number of unnecessary rules. Our conclusion: During our three-month journey, this has been one of the worst campsites we have visited in the UK. We would not recommend stopping here or booking a longer stay.

It is a good site, and we would probably visit again, however we wouldn't visit the onsite restaurant again, as not one of us out of four enjoyed our meals and the drinks were quite expensive. Also, I did not appreciate being 'told off' by a warden who just happened to be passing by the toilets, at approx. 11pm, as I was quietly replying to a lady who, also quietly talked to me, it wasn't like we were having a long chat, we didn't know each other and it was just a passing sentence.

Absolutely love this site! It’s got everything you need for a great touring break On site pub (The Muddy Oar) with Alistair and his staff and a lovely restaurant. River taxi into Stratford centre and back. The staff are absolutely amazing, and cannot do enough for you to ensure you have a great time, in particular Tony who just doesn’t stop all day, and Mandy in reception 👌👍 Definitely recommend this one!! 👌👍⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
