About Stratford Racecourse Touring Park
Stratford Touring Park sits in the middle of Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse, a location that gives it an unbeatable combination: roughly a mile from town along a flat riverside path, yet embedded in a working race track. Around 120 grass pitches spread across the infield take caravans, motorhomes and tents, with most offering electric hook-up. The heated toilet blocks and launderette are practical rather than indulgent, and there's no shop or playground, but the open expanse of grass gives children plenty of space to run. The Jockey Wheel bar handles evening drinks.
Race days are part of the character rather than a disruption. Guests staying over a meeting often receive complimentary admission, and there's live entertainment through summer. The season runs mid-March to late October, matching the racecourse calendar. Dogs stay free on a lead, gazebos incur no extra charge, and pitch prices start around £23 without electric, £28 with hook-up. Book ahead for summer weekends and any fixture dates.

What visitors say
In a great spot to walk into Stratford upon Avon or a bus stop outside. There's nice walks round abouts with a cafe railway carriage a short stroll from the path into town (back way). The site itself is huge with everything you need, ample toilets but limited pot wash and showers.

We camped here for two nights in August whilst visiting Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick castle. Easy to check in and member of staff directs you to your pitch. Flat and even ground - perfect! Toilets and showers are exceptionally clean. Cannot fault at all. Perfectly located for trips (walking or car) into Stratford-upon-Avon and also Warwick. We'll be back!

**Rating: 2/5 stars** Our camping trip had its ups and downs. While the location was great and the facilities were clean, there were several disappointing aspects of our stay that made the experience less enjoyable. Firstly, we were told we couldn’t put up our gazebo despite the website explicitly stating this was allowed. Adding to the frustration, we were warned we’d be charged if we went ahead with it. Secondly, an incident occurred when my partner and I went to the toilet. The staff approached our children and asked them to put our dogs away, despite the campsite being advertised as dog-friendly. Our electric hook up cable didn’t fit! Works on all other camps except this one. Luckily a man lent us his spare one. Lastly, we were placed the furthest away from the toilet block, which was challenging with three children, especially when our youngest needed the toilet during the night. I hope the campsite management can address these issues to better accommodate future visitors.
