We recently moved to area and went there for dinner , only ordered main meal took over an hour to arrive, I had what said on menu the sweet potato coconut curry and rice , it taste nothing like coconut curry just bland tasteless and my husband had Katsu curry which he as well said was awful our grandson had Mack and cheese but the macaroni wasn’t cooked! We were the only ones inside eating so should have guessed it wasn’t going to be good! Worse place we’ve eaten never again!

We are staying at Parkdean holidays Highfield gardens and was looking a nice family and dog friendly pub and found the blacksmith arms 5mins drive away. We had an amazing meal in the forge. The food was fresh, large portions and great value for money. Lovely beer garden and had a bouncy castle for the kids. Best meal we’ve had out for a long time and would 100% recommend coming here for a meal and drinks with the family!

We came back after our previous visit, where unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience, as Sian, the owner, kindly invited us back to give The Blacksmiths Arms another chance. I’m so glad we did because this visit was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious, everything was cooked perfectly, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. It was a completely different experience, and it really showed how much the owners care about their customers and about putting things right. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what really matters is how they’re handled, and The Blacksmiths Arms went above and beyond to restore our confidence. We’ll definitely be back.

Came for lunch during the week and had their lunch deal, which was a main and drink for a set price. Had cod and chips which was absolutely delicious and great portion size. My friend had a dessert, which was also amazing. Friendly, clean and a good place for a meal out.
