Clacton Pier has done really well for itself. They have invested a lot of money over the years into turning the front of the pier into an undercover watertight precinct, it's clean, tidy and everything you want a Pier to be. Over June they held 3 live music event weekends on the front of the Pier, Reggae music, then Country and then The Best of British. Free events with live bands, Singers and Entertainers. It encouraged 5 of us to get out of the house, and see what was going on, and we were not disappointed, it was REALLY GOOD fun! The Pier Pub is a bit on the pricey side at £6.60 a pint of larger - BUT worth the investment for hours of very good, quality entertainment. The Robbie Williams Tribute entertainer completely nailed it on Sunday evening, he was TIP TOP entertainment. Great performance to a smaller than it should have been crowd, and even those in our group who are not particularly Robbie Williams fans had the best time. He was working hard to please the crowd. I am NOT a fan of the firework events held, these are more for the tourists, however, when local businesses invest in free events for the locals, the least we can do is go and have and look, see what's going on and show a little support. Well Done Clacton Pier it's been a fabulous June and I hope to see more of these events in the future. Thank you.

The beach here is so soft and with so much for the family day out you can't go wrong. The high street is within mins. Some wonderful family oriented pubs with so much history you can't help but go home with some happy memories and maybe the odd crab in your children's pockets 😀

It was our very first visit to Clacton Pier, I'd rate it better than Southend, maybe because we've been to Southend too many times. The sand is clear, the beach next to the Pier is mostly clean - barring a nappy we saw 👀 - the girls loved it. Many things to do and enjoy with the kids around the Pier. My daughters only love the beach and they are not so interested in the rides or other distractions.

A nice day out with family, enjoyed the time at the sea front, have to be careful with the waves as the hard at times, if you go 2/3 miles away from the Clacton area you will find more calm waters to swim in.
