Laser Combat Dundee (FKA Combat City)

The laser tag game itself was fantastic - great fun, with a really well-designed arena. We especially loved the realistic features such as the cars and shopfronts, which added a lot to the experience. We were a mixed group of adults and children and it worked brilliantly for all ages; time genuinely flew by. One small enhancement that would be nice would be printed score sheets at the end, so players can easily see how they did. Our main complaint was the arrival and check-in process, which felt a little disorganised. As a group of five (including two children without their own email addresses), we were each required to download the app and register individually before starting. This took quite some time and felt unnecessary, particularly for younger players. A bit more hands-on guidance at reception would have made a big difference, as we didn’t feel a) welcomed and b) supported through this part of the process. We also noticed that there didn’t seem to be enough vests available between sessions, meaning we had to wear ones that were still warm (less politely, they were: damp / sweaty / smelly) from the previous group. In addition, the spectator area was quite cold - a heater would have made waiting more comfortable for those not playing. It’s a shame, as these issues seem relatively easy to address, and the core experience itself is excellent. Overall, we actually found the laser quest offering here to be stronger than the newer venue by Tesco in Dundee, particularly in how well it caters to a wide range of ages. Just need to sort out the customer service / staffing and arrival process.

The combat arena is awesome, and it is great fun for families (a chance to exercise all those Fortnite skills 😁). I also like the fact that a roving member of staff acts as a saboteur shooting folks not obeying the rules 🤣. Could maybe reiterate that the rules are that those losing a life need to return to their nominated base when they've been killed, otherwise it gets a bit stale. The equipment is in need of a wee bit of investment as a number of the vests are a bit busted (one players vest didn't work at all so they didn't die at all), one players gun kept saying it was overheating). Will still be back as it's good value and lots of fun.

We enjoyed the experience but found the equipment a bit 'tired'. The. buckles and zips on some of the gear were broken. My gun stopped working for no apparent reason during our second game although the attendant did give me an alternative jacket and gun. One of our group's jackets wasn't registering hits at all and by the time we realised this she wasn't wanting to swop for another. We were asked to arrive 30 mins before we started - this was excessive 10 - 25 mins would have been more than adequate. The division of participants into teams was fine for the first game but for the second resulted in too many in one team so there was little opposition to fire at. I hope to these comments help you make the changes which would definitely enhance the experience. Thank you VMD

my daughter had her 9th birthday party with her 19 squad of friends they loved the laser tag the medals slushies and the party room was awesome food was banging and the staff friendly fun and good banter . 100% recommend 👌
