Langley Barn and the rolling countryside around Ashbourne make this part of Amber Valley worth exploring on foot or by car. The Farmhouse at Nether Burrows Farm is a detached property designed to accommodate larger groups comfortably across its three floors. It sleeps 10 across five bedrooms, with two of those offering ensuite showers and underfloor heating. A third bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms.

The ground floor spreads across two wings: one contains the kitchen with a range cooker, dining area warmed by a woodburner, and a separate living room with a Smart TV; the other has a second sitting room without television, utility room with washing machine, and toilet. Upstairs, a games room completes the layout. Essentials like bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; woodburner logs come with your arrival, with further supplies available. One dog stays free. The property sits at the end of a mile-long farm track, surrounded by open countryside and regular bird visitors including kestrels. A large garden with patio, barbecue and furniture opens to the rear, and there is parking for five cars on site. No smoking throughout.

Had a great few days staying at farmhouse cottage. Great location for exploring the southern peak District area. Lovely clean cottage with everything we needed including the fantastic hot tub! Very quiet location as well. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed here for 3 nights as had my son's wedding at Grangefields. We booked Meadow view and Willow Barn and others in wedding party booked the Farmhouse. The houses were great for our family and friends to all stay together and great location to get to the wedding. We were able to have a post wedding get together with bbq and use of field for sports activities. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our immediate impression of the Farmhouse at Gainsborough Retreats was highly positive. The property is nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds and idyllic countryside, offering an excellent layout that effortlessly accommodated our group of 10. The sole reason for a three-star rating relates to the mattress in our bedroom. The springs popped loudly with every movement, which significantly disrupted our sleep and ultimately forced us to relocate to a different bedroom on our second night to get some rest. Aside from this issue, the accommodation is highly commendable. I would gladly recommend a stay here and would certainly return in the future, provided the mattress in that specific room is replaced

Meadow View here was an excellent property for a family celebration weekend for up to 14 people. It is very spacious and all the bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of bath/shower facilities. I was also impressed by the amount of crockery and glassware. The games room was very popular for those needing some activity.
