Inside, the house has been kept elegant and well cared for, with en-suite rooms including family options, a garden and outdoor seating area, and a picnic spot for warmer days. There's a bar for evening drinks, drinks can be brought to your room, and a spa and sauna are available on-site for guests who want to unwind after a day out. Staff are on hand around the clock at reception.
The restaurant is a strong point, with a varied menu running from tapas to sirloin steak, kids' meals catered for, and a freshly prepared breakfast to start the day; dietary requirements are handled with care. Golf, fishing, pubs and further restaurants are all nearby for those wanting to venture out. One point to note: some guests have found the heating in the rooms could be better during colder months.

We had our wedding at the Kedleston Country House. Helen and Cristy were absolutely incredible from the moment of booking the venue to leaving the day after we were married. We had exclusive use of the venue. There are beautiful views surrounding the venue and it feels as though you're in the remote part of the countryside, however, the venue is in a great location which is easy to access with it not being far from the city centre. Helen and Cristy were on hand in the lead up to our wedding, including in person meetings, and quick responses on the platform they use for events to answer any questions we had. Any issues we had (often externally caused) they were so supportive in finding solutions or work arounds. We stayed at the venue with our bridal/grooms party the night before, and the staff were so helpful in ensuring the rooms were set up for the wedding - and accommodated so many last minute, unexpected changes. The food was incredible, and all dietary requirements were met. For Helen and Cristy, they ensured all our guests were safe and had plenty to eat on the day no matter their dietary requirements. On the day of our wedding Helen, Cristy and the team kept the atmosphere so relaxed, that if there were any problem, I was never aware. The day went even better than we had planned and it reassured us that we booked the perfect venue with the perfect team. We are forever grateful to Helen, Cristy and the team for making sure we had the wedding we wanted, and the Kedleston Country House will forever be a special place for us. Thank you for creating the most magical venue for our wedding.

We had our baby shower at The Kedleston Country House last weekend and we are so pleased that we chose this venue. Sally, Maisie and the team on the day ensured that everything ran smoothly and went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day. We hired the orangery which was the perfect space for guests to have drinks on the outside on the terrace in the warm weather whilst the children were able to play on the greenery. The food was delicious having chosen the gold buffet option there was plenty of food available and it was displayed beautifully. All our guests commented on how lovely the food was. We used to stay at the house before moving more local and we have always had such a positive experience. Thank you again for ensuring we had the perfect day to remember. Stopped in for food after visiting Kedleston Hall with the dog… Summer menu had a tapas option & the focaccia, bruschetta & calamari were fantastic. Went for the two steaks for £40 option & it was Sirloin this week…. Really good… Great place & staff were amazing, all of them… really nice vibes… & so friendly, especially with our dog. ❤️

This is our second stay at this wonderful country house hotel. A real gem! The staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and very well equipped. Brilliant breakfast, freshly prepared. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back.
