Facilities were good, pool was great. Soft play for the kids was a lovely touch. What let the whole holiday down was the attitude of the staff. Made us feel really unwelcome in the restaurant and just point blank rude to be honest. Food was also well below a good standard especially for the price.

We have been to wildrose twice. First time was lovely hence why we returned. The second time we paid more to stay in a lodge with a hot tub. The first night the hot tub jets didnt work. We told reception and they told us they would get it checked. Second day the turned the hot tub off completely and didnt turn it back until the following day. However the hot tub took ages to reheat so we were unable to go in it for 2 days. We were so disappointed. On the 3rd and 4th day we were able to go in it but still no jets. We told reception and they gave us a free cup of tea and a cake to share between us. Aswell as the hottub the swimming pool was getting refurbished and therefore partially closed, this was not mentioned when booking and i wouldnt have booked if i had known. I spoke with customer service after our visit about how we paid extra for the hot tub and about the swimming pool and I was met with "you were compensated with the free tea." This was massively disheartening and disappointing and as a result I will not return to this site. Youve lost a loyal customer.

We enjoyed some aspects of our stay, particularly the pool and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, several issues affected our experience, including the cleanliness of the caravan, repeated boiler problems, long restaurant wait times, the dated play facilities, and the handling of a prolonged power outage. The accommodation did not feel as clean as expected on arrival. We found black dog hairs on the carpet and sofa, as well as multiple spiders and webs throughout the caravan, which was disappointing given the standard advertised. To their credit, staff responded quickly when we raised these concerns, sending a cleaner within an hour. She was very apologetic and did her best to address the issues. We also experienced repeated problems with the boiler, which lost pressure several times during our stay. Staff were helpful and arranged for someone to attend promptly, resolving the issue each time. However, it was frustrating to have to deal with ongoing boiler problems whilst on holiday. The restaurant experience was also disappointing. We waited 55 minutes for our starters despite visiting outside of school holidays. With a four-month-old baby and a young child, this felt excessive and made dining unnecessarily stressful. The outdoor play park is very dated and has limited equipment. The soft play area is located upstairs, whilst the downstairs space is largely occupied by the sales department. As parents, we found this layout less practical than expected. The biggest issue was a power outage from approximately 9am until 3pm during our stay. We appreciate that this was caused by the local electricity network and was outside the park’s control. However, the loss of electricity meant no use of the heated pool facilities, no power within the caravan and no Wi-Fi for much of the day. Travelling with a baby and young child, this had a significant impact on our holiday as we only had two full days stay. We contacted the park afterwards in the hope that some goodwill gesture might be considered, but this was declined. Whilst there were positives, including the swimming pool and the excellent nearby attractions such as Lowther Castle, we left feeling disappointed overall and do not feel the experience reflected the standard we were expecting.

Anita was very welcoming on arrival. We booked the 2 bed signature lodge rooms which were in pristine condition. Soft play, heated pool, games room was a lot of fun and short walk away. Towels and loo brush was not provided. Everything else was able to use. An hour away from Keswick, Aira force and windermere. Overall a really positive experience.
