We stayed and had a wonderful time. Our chef Craig is a culinary genius who's dish presentation was excellent, surpassed only by the quality and taste. Peter informed us of the history of the castle, furnished us with drinks and played piano for us all during dinner. Many thanks to the owner and fantastic hostess, Sally, for a unique experience we couldn't praise you all enough.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Appleby Castle. The historic setting made the experience truly unique, and the castle’s character and charm were impressive. The host was very welcoming and friendly, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent communication and hospitality throughout. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing stay. The grounds were beautiful to explore, and the peaceful atmosphere added to the experience. A great choice for anyone looking for a memorable stay in a historic location. We would happily visit again.

My husband and I stayed here one night and truly enjoyed our time. We had our evening meal here and it was delicious all 3 courses. Breakfast was also lovely. The chef is very talented and happy to cater for our dietary requirements. We would highly recommend it both for staying and also dining. The piano playing whilst we ate really created a wonderful atmosphere. Well worth the money. The staff was very helpful and looked after all our needs to ensure we had a memorable time. Thank you for a memorable stay. We will certainly be back.
