Benmore Botanic Gardens is a short walk away, and the National Park itself offers endless scope for hiking, water sports and scenic drives. Dunoon sits on the Clyde coast with its own beaches and seafront, while the Trossachs lochs and mountains are within easy reach by car. This converted barn sits on a working farm where guests can experience rural Argyll without sacrificing comfort or space.
The property has three bedrooms sleeping six: a single on the ground floor, and upstairs a double with ensuite bathroom, plus a twin double and single in the second bedroom. Downstairs, the open-plan living and kitchen area is built from Douglas Fir harvested and hand-finished on the farm itself, with original stone walls and period features intact. A wood burner heats the main room, the kitchen has everything needed to cook properly, and there is a shower room on the ground floor. The property comes with Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels; initial wood for the burner is supplied. One small or medium dog stays free, though must be kept on a lead as it's a working farm. An enclosed front garden and patio provide outdoor space, and there is parking for two cars on site. No smoking throughout.

We had a beautiful stay at Benmore Stable. The housw is situated in beautiful surroundings, right in the middle of nature. Don't expect a supermarket or café within walking distance, but do expect the most beautiful walk right on your doorstep. We were made to feel very welcome and warmly received by the owners; the cottage was very clean, well-equipped, and provided with every convenience.

We had the best stay in the lovely Byre! The house was comfortable and well-furnished, with the most amazing views from the kitchen. It was wonderful to be off the beaten track nestled in the glen, with Loch Eck at our doorstep as well as Benmore Botanic Gardens, Puck's Glen and many other wonders . Hosts were great and we highly recommend this location.

Absolutely stunning place to stay. Has everything you could possibly need. Gardens and decking area are all fenced so perfect for the kids to play, and the added bonus of seeing the owner of the farm heard his sheep. Both owners are very accommodating and nothing is to much trouble for them. Also just a short walk from the Benmore Gardens redwood cafe and stunning gardens. Highly recommend 👌
