Carnethy is a single-storey wooden bungalow built to take in eastward views across the Kyles of Bute from its elevated position in Kames village. Everything happens on the ground floor: a living room with smart TV and working fireplace, a kitchen/dining space with electric cooking and dishwasher, two bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with two singles), and a shower room. The open-plan layout means there's plenty of natural light, especially in the lounge with its wide windows and unobstructed outlook.
Outside, a gravelled sitting area wraps around the front with garden furniture and a barbecue. The property shares use of a one-acre grounds and has private parking for two cars. One dog is welcome to stay free. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; there's an initial supply of coal for the fire. A cot and highchair are available on request. The bungalow sits within walking distance of village shops, a post office, and a shoreside pub with restaurant just five minutes on foot.
