Cockleshell Lodge

Built as a single-storey lodge, Cockleshell Lodge sits on the Ballimore Estate with direct access to the water's edge at Otter Ferry. The entire property occupies the ground floor, arranged around an open-plan living space that opens via patio doors onto decking—positioned just metres from the shoreline. Large windows frame views across the loch, where you can watch the changing tides and passing seabirds from the living room or while dining.

Three bedrooms accommodate six guests: a double with en-suite shower and toilet, plus two twins sharing a family bathroom with shower over the bath. The master bedroom has partial bay views. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. A woodburner warms the living area (initial logs included), and the property has central heating throughout. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided, and there is private parking for two cars on site.

The Oystercatcher pub restaurant is within walking distance at Otter Ferry. The area suits anyone interested in coastal walks, fishing, sailing, or simply watching wildlife from the garden. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Note that there is a loch at the end of the garden, and smoking is not permitted inside.
