Gate Cottage

Families and larger groups will find Gate Cottage works well for a week away on the Argyll coast. The whole place is yours, with three bedrooms spread across the ground floor: a double with ensuite, a second double, and a twin. Two bathrooms mean fewer queues in the morning. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

The open-plan living area centres on a woodburner and faces the water. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave—and there's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer for longer stays. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. An enclosed garden and patio give you space to sit outside, and from April to October a shoreside seating area opens up for views across the Kyles of Bute. The cottage sits in Tighnabruaich, a small village with boat access to the wider region; the original gatehouse to Ardlamont Estate, it's detached with parking on the road. No smoking indoors.
