Pottery Cottage
Argyll and Bute
Glendaruel village sits on the Cowal peninsula in a landscape of woodland and water. Pottery Cottage occupies one corner of a 22-acre estate here, positioned within walking distance of Loch Riddon and the Kyles of Bute. The wider grounds hold games facilities, sports pitches and a selection of bicycles for guests to use; beyond them, forest paths and the loch's edge are less than a mile away.
The cottage is a single-storey stone building designed for accessibility throughout. It contains one bedroom, a wet room with walk-in shower, and a living space that doubles as sleeping quarters—there's a sofa bed, plus two small alcove sleeping areas that work as additional bunks. This flexible layout means the property can sleep up to four people comfortably. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and WiFi are provided. No smoking inside.
The setting suits families and groups wanting to base themselves for outdoor activities: walking, cycling, swimming and fishing all happen locally, and red squirrels, deer and woodland birds are common sightings. Historic towns like Dunoon and Rothesay are within reach by car, ferry crossings to the Isle of Bute are nearby, and Loch Lomond lies about 35 minutes' drive away. One dog is welcome.
