Seal Point Cabin

Argyll and Bute

View on Google Maps

Seal Point Cabin sits at the water's edge of Loch Fyne, Scotland's longest sea loch. The cabin is a single open-plan space on the ground floor: living and dining area with a Freeview Smart TV, a kitchen with electric hob and microwave-oven-grill, and a bedroom with a kingsize bed. There is one bathroom with a shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all included.

Outside, a covered deck runs along the front, furnished with a table, chairs and a firepit, positioned to take in the loch views. The grounds are wooded and quiet; a footpath leads down to the water's edge. This is active wildlife habitat. Seals, porpoise, otters and red squirrels are regular sightings, along with red and roe deer, guinea fowl, foxes and badgers. One dog is welcome but must be kept on a lead throughout the grounds to avoid disturbing the animals. Private parking is available for two cars on site.

The location suits a couple seeking a retreat: short breaks work well here, and the loch offers calm days for swimming. The wider Cowal Peninsula and west coast of Scotland are within reach for exploring. No smoking is permitted inside or out.
