What visitors say
Something I’d thought I’d never say about a garden centre is being surprised and really impressed. But I have to say it about Bridgemere. This place is huge. They even have show gardens to look at. It’s very doubtful that you would come here for something for the garden and leave empty handed. It of course has a great cafe, other shops and many other non garden related gifts. We popped in just for a look whilst in the area and ended up leaving with a carful of shopping!

Great lifestyle centre from plants of all sizes through to shops and a top class cafe. Our coffee was good quality and our cakes were restaurant quality. Watch out for the dinosaurs though!

Great garden centre it really is an all day visit with so much to see. The extra payment of £9 to see the show gardens is a bit steep but they are beautiful. Plenty of seating especially useful for us old codgers and to truly appreciate the gardens.

I decided to read some reviews before visiting, as I was bringing my mum for her 80th birthday—she loves garden centres and show gardens, and we’d already explored most of the ones locally. I took my mum, my mother-in-law & my dog to Bridgemere Garden Centre and Show Gardens. We arrived at 11am after nearly a two-hour drive, and although we expected it to be good (being a Blue Diamond centre), we had no idea just how large it would be—it’s absolutely HUGE. I had read a few reviews saying the food wasn’t great, but I would 100% disagree. When I checked if dogs were welcome in the restaurant, the team couldn’t have been more accommodating. They have a designated dog-friendly area, and the staff were brilliant and incredibly friendly. The food arrived quickly, was hot, and very tasty. Even our four-legged friend enjoyed the sausages we ordered for her! There is so much to see. The indoor area is incredible, with a butcher, home accessories, clothing, garden furniture, and more—it really goes beyond a typical garden centre. The show gardens were well worth the £9 per person, and it was lovely to stop for an ice cream along the way. By 3pm, we had seen everything the garden centre had to offer, but we'd had a really good go! Top tip: Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water—you’ll need both! ( and an empty boot ) A definite 5★ experience from us.
