I have been here quite alot for lunch. The other day l had a baked potato with tuna. It was very good & had tea & a scone with jam afterwards. The menu has sandwiches, soup & wide variety of cakes , a choice of coffees & a range teas. There are also juices. Hill House is worth seeing if you are like Mckintosh's work & his wife did some beautiful watercolours. Even if you haven't heard of this Scottish artist, Hill House is worth a visit & has beautiful gardens to walk around too.

Interesting house designed and furnished for the Blackie family. Lots of features intact and the external walls are under renovation. Great walkway to see the exterior and dome lift access/ramp to lower walkway. Upper walkway is stairs. Nice small cafe...excellent staff, table service, delicious scones 😋

Very welcoming and kind team. House is undergoing reconstruction but it doesnt affect impression of it. Estraordinary piece of architecture, it is deffinitely a must visit for architecture admirers. Was there durink bank holiday weekend and it wasnt too crowded.

Amazing visit with the opportunity to walk above the roof of the house and see the restoration work going on. Was a great visit in the rain as we were under cover for the whole visit, inside and out. Will be a pity to remove the protective construction as it really enhanced the visit and didn't detract from the experience inside the house. In our view, without the steel structure the house would lose half of its appeal. Well worth a visit or two 😎

Visitors say this historic house offers fascinating architecture and design, with many original features and artwork to view. They also highlight the unique experience of walking on the protective structure around and above the house. Guests mention the cafe serves delicious food and coffee, and the staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
