About Lomond Woods Holiday Park
Lomond Woods sits at Balloch on the southern shore of Loch Lomond, seventeen miles north-west of Glasgow and just inside the national park boundary. The loch, boat trips from Balloch pier and the start of several Trossachs walks are all within a short stroll, and the park stays open year-round—making it one of the more reliable winter options in the area.
Wood Leisure runs a tidy operation with serviced pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, plus glamping pods and lodges (some with hot tubs). Facilities include electric and water hookups, heated washrooms, laundry, EV charging, free wi-fi and a games room, alongside play areas and designated dog-walking ground. Most guests appreciate the location and upkeep, though a few mention the site can feel a little cramped when fully booked.
Balloch station is a few minutes away with direct trains to Glasgow Queen Street in around forty-five minutes, so a car is useful but not essential. Supermarkets, cafes and pubs are in the village, and Loch Lomond Shores—with its aquarium and viewpoint—is close by, letting you spend one day in the city and the next on the water or up Conic Hill.

Stayed recently, extremely quiet, clean, & is definitely the best trip I've had. Location is perfect, very nice but also extremely close to everything you need. Through things like offers, payment accepted & VIP membership, it's affordable enough to visit regularly which is absolutely not the case for anywhere else in my personal situation. It's definitely somewhere I plan to visit as long as I am able to & would recommend it to anyone.

We've just had a week at Lomond Woods and it was brilliant. Ticks all the boxes from a facilities point of view and is conveniently located at the end of Loch Lomond for anyone with a trailer tent, motorhome, caravan or wanting to hire a lodge/pod. Yes, there is road noise but that comes with being in an easily accessible location. Recommended.

Very polite and professional staff, site is very clean, facilities are 1st class. Ideal location for a quite peaceful escape in our touring caravan. Have always booked their fully serviced pitches. Walk/ drive into Balloch allows site seeing, shopping etc. A Chinese restaurant is minutes away from the site entrance

We’ve got a seasonal pitch here for a tourer and it’s a brilliant site. Facilities are exceptionally clean. The site is well maintained and litter free. Staff on site are friendly and extremely helpful if you have any problems - they genuinely go above and beyond sometimes. Location of the site is perfect for having loads nearby but you still feel like you’re in a peaceful oasis.
