The Potting Shed sits in Mersham, a quiet village in the Kent countryside where walks begin at your gate. This converted outbuilding on the owner's grounds offers a complete retreat for two, with your own entrance, parking space, and an enclosed garden with patio—useful if you're bringing a dog or simply want to eat breakfast outside.
Downstairs holds the main living space: an open-plan kitchen and dining area with what you need to cook proper meals, a comfortable sitting room with Freeview Smart TV, and a shower room. Upstairs is the bedroom, arranged as two single beds (3ft each). Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are all included. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The village has a shop a few minutes' walk away, and a well-regarded pub with restaurant and riverside garden ten minutes on foot. Hythe's cobbled streets and seafront are twenty minutes' drive; Folkestone's creative quarter and harbour another short journey beyond. For London, Ashford International station is ten minutes away by car, with trains reaching the capital in under forty minutes. No smoking indoors.

We only booked to use the restaurant, it is a beautiful, spacious place with a huge garden. The food was nice, service was excellent. The only thing we waited for was the bill. They do not disturb us while we were eating which a breath of fresh air actually. Many staff floating around and nothing was too much bother. Very friendly and welcoming.

Had a 1st (and last) date there! A Friday morning. Sat outside for coffee in the gorgeous sunshine, where is was pretty busy. Excellent coffee, delicious brunchy nibbley sharing bits. Excellent staff. Attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Really relaxed atmosphere. A great pub.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ We had a wonderful experience at The Potting Shed Langley. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and you can really taste the care and passion that goes into every dish. A special mention has to go to the chefs — their talent, attention to detail, and dedication truly made the meal unforgettable. The staff were fantastic — friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. They created such a warm and relaxed atmosphere and made us feel genuinely looked after. Thank you to the whole team for an amazing experience. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend The Potting Shed Langley to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. ❤️

What a fantastic find! From the front, it doesn't look particularly special, but once you park and see the beautiful setting at the rear, it's a completely different story. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and highly professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
