What visitors say
I recently visited the nature reserve and Twycross Zoo and had a really enjoyable day. The nature reserve is a beautiful place to walk around, with lots of peaceful paths and plenty of wildlife to see. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy nature, and take a break from busy daily life. Twycross Zoo was also fantastic to visit. The zoo is very well maintained and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into looking after the animals. There are many different species to see, and the enclosures are spacious and well designed. The staff throughout the area were friendly and helpful, and everything felt well organised. It’s a great place for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys animals and nature. Overall, it’s a lovely destination for a day out. Between the relaxing nature reserve and the fascinating animals at Twycross Zoo, there’s plenty to see and enjoy. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Visited for free as part of Edinburgh Zoo membership. Wide range of animals, talks and experiences. Didn’t buy food but plenty of options & picnic spots. Lots of school kids visiting which I thought was great. I was surprised with the size of someone the enclosures - smaller than I’d think they should be.

Had a really nice time, the snow leopard at the restaurant is brilliant. Stayed until dark to do the lantern trail which was amazing

Had a good few hours at the zoo today, it was very busy but still able to see all the main attractions of animals. All the animals were out today except a few of the monkeys. A good day will definitely go back later in the year.
