Built in the vernacular style of its Suffolk setting, Lavenham Red Brick Cottage is a terraced property that forms part of one of England's best-preserved medieval villages. The village itself retains the character of its 12th-century wool-trade prosperity, with timber-framed buildings and a high street lined with independent shops, galleries and restaurants. One dog is welcome here.
The cottage is arranged over two floors, with a downstairs bathroom, kitchen and living room on the ground level, and two double bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals, with an electric oven and gas hob alongside a dishwasher and washing machine. A woodburner in the living room adds to the cosiness on cooler days, with logs provided to get you started. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are all included. The small enclosed courtyard beyond offers a quiet spot for breakfast or an evening drink, with furniture already in place.
The village sits within easy reach of Sudbury's market, Bury St Edmunds and the Suffolk coast. Pubs are within walking distance. The bathroom is downstairs only, and there are three steps into the garden.
