The Lake House

The Lake House sits at the end of a farm lane surrounded by fields and woodland, within reach of Alton Water—Suffolk's largest inland lake. The 400-acre parkland around it offers water sports, cycling trails and walking routes; local pubs are nearby. The meadow grounds (shared with the owner) stretch toward the water itself, providing space for picnics and outdoor play. An unfenced lake is present in the grounds.

The house is built for groups and larger families. Five bedrooms sleep ten: four doubles and one zip-and-link super kingsize that can be configured as two singles. Two bathrooms serve the property—one ensuite to the ground-floor double, the other upstairs with both bath and walk-in shower. Public rooms include two living areas (both with smart TV), a dining room and a separate study. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all essentials for self-catering. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is useful for longer stays. A wood burner heats the house, with initial fuel included; electric heating backs it up. The west-facing garden has lawn and furniture; parking for six cars is on site.

Wifi, bed linen, towels and electricity are provided. One well-behaved pet stays free. Smoking is not permitted. Check-in is after 16:00; checkout before 10:00.
