What visitors say
Stayed on the campsite in our own motorhome, site had a very continental feel/vibe to it in the way it's laid out. Pitches are large and you can park how you like within your pitch boundary. Facilities block was very clean and tidy. Site was clean and very well kept. Site wardens (Susan and Tony) were exceptional and so polite, friendly and helpful, it felt like we'd known them for years. They managed the noise levels extremely well when England vs Norway were playing to a very reasonable level so the whole campsite were able to enjoy their time, whether watching the football or not (Well done and thank you) Water park has plenty of activities to take part in if you do wish. We will definately be returning. Thank you

Great campsite. Facilities such as toilets amd showers available. Nearby playground and water sports centre provide fantastic entertainment for a family. Highly recommend going for a walk around the area as its really peaceful and beautiful. We've stayed at this campsite two years in a row and will definitely return again.

Left here today after a fab few nights camping. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Added bonus was the HOT weather. Beautiful views of the lake. The only down side was the toilet/shower facilities, however, with only one staff member on site to look after everything, it's hardly surprising. That and the fact that guests can't seem to clear up after themselves. The warden was very friendly, lovely bloke. Overall a fantastic campsite, lovely big pitches, and would definitely return!

We had a pleasant stay (May 2026) but won't go back. Plus points: 1. The pitch was huge and wasn't part of the central, very crammed, matrix where you would have to be on farting-terms with complete strangers due to close proximity. 2. The camp was quiet in the evenings (but, again, I would put this down to the location/relative isolation of our pitch. 3. Good value for a May helf-term school holiday Negative points: 1. The pitch quality (in terms of suitability for equipment and bare feet) was awful due to bramble and hawthorn cuttings strewn everywhere (see photographs). The ground is very sandy under the sparse grass tufts and ants are a big problem due to this. 2. The site facilities (shower/toilet block) are desperately Inadequate for the number of people this site can hold when busy. 3. There is absolutely NO shade here - ok if you enjoy sunshine, but unbearable during 30 degree heat (which we had for three days during May 2026). Once the trees on-site mature, however, this will certainly improve. 4. There is very little to do here for the kids - a badminton net and an area to kick a ball isn't enough - the only alternative is to spend a ton of money by using the lake to fish - permit required at £12 a day - water park at £20 per-person or launch a paddle-board at £25 per day. 5. The on-site tea room (just outside the site gates) is somewhat expensive and doesnt cater for anything you would need for the basics of camping - need sugar/milk/eggs/tea (etc), you'll have to drive to a nearby shop. 6. No WiFi coverage - good 5G signal, but if you, or the kids, have a limited data allowance on your mobile, you will use it up very quickly.
