About Glass Island Ballycastle

Beechwood Avenue sits on the edge of Ballycastle, close enough to walk into town or down to the beach, yet quiet enough to feel away from it all. Glass Island Ballycastle makes the most of this position, offering a calm base in County Antrim with the coastline and countryside within easy reach, including the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge.

Rooms are spacious and kept spotless, with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and family rooms available for those travelling with children. Breakfast is made fresh each morning with a good range of choices, from French press coffee to overnight oats, and kids' meals and packed lunches can be arranged. A garden, picnic area and outdoor seating give guests space to relax outside, while free on-site parking and 24 hour reception add to the practical side of a stay.

The hosts are friendly and easy to deal with, happy to point guests towards golf, fishing, horse riding, watersports, cycling and walking routes nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment in the surrounding area. It's a straightforward, well-run place to stay on Ireland's north coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Glass Island in April of 2026. It was one of the best B&B's that we have ever stayed in. Our hosts were exceptional in their communication and gave us some incredible recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The rooms are comfortable, large and very clean. The breakfasts were always excellent. We could have easily stayed another two days to enjoy the area if we had known all that Ballycastle and the surrounding area had to offer. Highly recommend!

Sharon is the hostess with the mostest! I was in Northern Island to take a two day horse trek with Bespoke Equestrian and they orchestrated the accommodations with Glass Island. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Glass Island! I think I had the best room in the house with views of the sea and cliffs. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The B&B was quiet and delightful. The breakfast was fabulous, perfect for fuel to head out on an all day horse trek. Sharon's eggs are perfection and I loved the French press coffee. Glass Island is totally walkable to shops and restaurants in town or down to the beach where there are also a few spots to eat. I would highly recommend Glass Island to anyone heading up to Northern Ireland and I would happily stay there again if I'm back in the area. Thanks very much Sharon (and husband!). I really enjoyed my time with you.

We had a fantastic stay at The Glasshouse in Ballycastle and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings and a great starting point for exploring the area. We stayed for one night during our round trip. The room was modern, stylish, clean, and very comfortable, and the atmosphere in the house was welcoming and relaxing. The breakfast was also delicious, with an excellent service and a perfect start to the day. The hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality and helpfulness really made the stay special. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay — we would definitely recommend The Glasshouse and would love to come back again!
