About Feather Down Farm Days (Glanmor Isaf)
Tucked into a peaceful orchard behind a 150-year-old farmhouse, Feather Down's Glanmor Isaf offers a rare double act: working farm life with Snowdon views on one side, and a private pebble beach just a field's walk away on the other. The Pritchard family have farmed here for four generations, raising organic Welsh Black cattle and hardy mountain sheep, and their warm hospitality shines through – past guests highlight the genuine welcome and spontaneous invitations to watch lambing or sheep shearing. It's an intimate setup with excellent seclusion under the orchard canopy, certified organic and very much a living farm.
The location is brilliantly versatile: coastal walks and watersports within easy reach, climbing and cycling on the doorstep, plus the owners regularly drive up to graze their flocks on Snowdon's slopes and can offer lifts if you fancy downhill cycling. A handful of safari-style tents keep things small-scale and family-focused – no dogs allowed, but children will relish the farmyard rhythm and mountain backdrop.

What a stunning location! We had the most fantastic autumn experience last September, the scenery looking down onto Bala lake is spectacular with tons of great dog walks right from the tent. We loved taking our time making porridge on the log burner stove in a morning and slowing the pace down for a weekend, Geraint and Llinos couldn’t have done more for us and took the time to show us how to build the fires properly. Thanks for a memorable, wholesome stay, it won’t be our last Feather Down!

Wow! The most gorgeous location and the lady hosting us was so very lovely- she couldn’t do enough to help. Our youngest son has cerebral palsy and can’t walk very far so after we refused a farm walk as it wasn’t really wheelchair friendly, she took him out (along with our older son) on a quad bike farm tour. It meant so much to us to see him so happy, both boys absolutely loved it 🥰 We are a family of 6, 15yo girl, 11yo boy, 5yo boy and a 6 month old baby. The accommodation suited everyone. We decided to have a tech free weekend, after a few initial moans the kids all loved it. It rained most of the time we were there but we still had a brilliant time and would definitely go back. The children also absolutely loved Jess, the working farm dog, such a beautiful and friendly nature who popped by often to say hello. She is very well trained though so didn’t come into the canvas. Thank you so much again! Would defo come back again 😊

Our stay here was magic, the farmer is welcoming, engaging about his work and made it a fantastic experience. Being off the grid (water is plumbed in but no electricity) might seem daunting, but our young daughter, and us, had a really special time without modern conveniences. I can’t wait to stay again

The farm and tents are fantastic. The views across the lake and surrounding mountains are brilliant and the hosts are super friendly. We had a great time!
