Bwthyn Glanllyn

Bwthyn Glanllyn is a detached cottage on the shore of Bala Lake, within Eryri National Park. It sleeps six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a double bed in one room and two pairs of single beds in the others. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. Heating is by biomass, and there is private parking for four cars on site.

Downstairs holds the kitchen and dining area alongside a living room with a 42-inch TV, Freesat and DVD player, plus a separate shower room and toilet. Upstairs is a full bathroom with bath and shower. A games room with a pool table and board games sits separately from the main house. The enclosed, lawned garden has patio furniture and a barbecue. Note that there is an unfenced lake directly beside the property.

The location suits families wanting to explore North Wales. Bala Lake itself offers water sports—canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding are all possible, with white water rafting five miles away. Walks cover the surrounding hills; Coed y Brenin mountain biking trails are 30 minutes off. Bala town is three miles away with shops and restaurants, and a cycle path connects the cottage directly to it. Smoking is not permitted.
