About Iard Hendre
Spending your holidays in north-western Wales and looking for a spot with easy access to both Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and sandy beaches? Step forward, Iard Hendre. This family-friendly touring site sits right on the edge of Wales's largest national park, occupying the grounds of a Grade II listed property built in the 1840s as a model farm. A restored Victorian stone cottage houses reception, where you can meet your hosts, the Innes family, before heading to your pitch with car parking right alongside.
The location just off the A55 puts Irish Sea beaches like Llanfairfechan, Bangor and the Menai Strait all within 10 minutes' drive. From your pitch, views stretch across to Anglesey and the Eryri peaks – picnic tables dot the large fields, perfect for alfresco meals against that spectacular backdrop. A stroll through the forested Parc Penrhyn Coast Path (10 minutes) eases you into hiking territory, ahead of tackling Coedydd Aber National Nature Reserve and the dramatic Aber Falls (20 minutes). Dogs are welcome on most local trails, though leads may be required at times. Facilities include a toilet block with showers and washing-up area – straightforward but well-suited to walkers keen to explore this corner of Gwynedd.

We're very pleased we had our wedding here. James was incredibly accommodating and flexible and the day ran so smoothly. If you're looking for something a little bit different you really can't go wrong coming here. Thank you so much!

Hired the venue for our wedding and wow where do I start. The team went above and beyond to ensure the day flowed seamlessly and worked tirelessly to make sure it all came together for us. From allowing us plenty of time to decorate the hall before the day to stepping in and rearranging rooms as needed James and the team were flexible and this made our day stress free and perfect. We could not have asked for a better day so thank you

Went to a wedding here. We were in our campervan and as the camping field was closed to the general public due to the wedding, we had the field to ourselves. OK, the facilities weren't the greatest and the field could do with mowing, but it was free! The venue is nice and rustic and the owner was always around to smooth the way. There is a problem for ladies wearing high heels: the courtyard is cobbled making elegant deportment rather difficult! All in all we liked it and enjoyed the wedding we were attending.

I went to a wedding at this place. It won't be everybody's cup of tea but I loved it. It's an old farm with a complex of buildings. There's a central garden with a large fig tree , a fire pit and a covered area which will suit smokers. Inside there is a large hall with an internal balcony and a long dining room which will comfortably seat 100 people. There's a large field you can camp in and ample parking. It's not at all fancy. It's a bit hippyish. There's a little Hobbit house with a round door and a turf roof in the garden. The staff were young and very pleasant and helpful. Groovy.
