High on the slopes above Llanllechid, Y Gorlan sits at 1000 feet among rolling hills and mountains, surrounded by public footpaths that start practically at the gate. The setting is genuinely rural, yet Bangor is only about 15 minutes away by car, and Penrhyn Castle, Aber Falls and the North Wales cycle route all lie within easy reach. The beach is 5 miles off; a shop half a mile; a pub and restaurant a little further.

This single-storey detached cottage has everything on ground level. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—sit alongside an open-plan living space with dining area and kitchen, a shower room, and an enclosed garden with patio where a hot tub awaits. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking; the living room has a TV and DVD player. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are covered. There is private parking for two cars and space for an electric vehicle to charge. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property is yours alone, sleeping four, though it can be booked alongside a neighbouring cottage if a larger group needs accommodation.
