Yr Hen Weithdy sits at elevation in the Snowdonia foothills, surrounded by public footpaths that lead toward the Carneddau mountains. The area suits walkers and cyclists particularly well. Zip World's mile-long zip wire is within reach, and the Menai Strait and Anglesey are visible from the property itself. This was once a workshop belonging to the Penrhyn Estate; it was comprehensively rebuilt to modern standards and retains its stone character.
The ground floor is open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with original beams and patio doors overlooking the surrounding landscape. Two bedrooms here have zip-and-link beds that convert between twin and double configurations; there is a wet room with non-slip flooring. Upstairs, the third bedroom is a twin with its own en suite, complete with a free-standing bath positioned to frame the mountain view. A hot tub sits in the garden for evening use. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than holiday shortcuts. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided; underfloor heating covers the whole property. Private parking accommodates seven cars, and there is space for bikes and muddy equipment.
The property sleeps six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A cot and highchair are available if needed. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Stunning location, great facilities and complete relaxation. Booked for the proximity to zip world for a long weekend at the end of march and was able to stock the fridge with supermarkets close by (15 mins) . Hot tub with a view, with a stream you can hear trickle with your morning coffee. BBQ on sunny days, lawn let the babies crawl about and log burner inside to cosy up to. Mountains and countryside wrapped around the lodge and a beach a short drive away too. Excellent stay, would come again

Yr Hen Weithdy (or the Old Workshop) couldn't have been better for a long weekend away for walking in Snowdonia. The cottage is geared for walkers with its wet room and the wonderful hot tub for aching muscles after a day on the hills. The views from the cottage are superb too. The place itself was lovely and clean and warm on arrival (complete with bottle of wine) and was well equipped for our stay. It was lovely to meet the owners Tony and Ceri too. Can't wait to come back.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location with great access to all Snowdonia and Anglesey has to offer. We enjoyed some stunning sunsets from the hot tub, ideal for unwinding, as well as easing aching muscles from all our adventures.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot. The views out the living room are fantastic. You'll see a nice little stream and don't be surprised to see several cows wandering past. The cottage is very well equipped with good sized bedrooms and a massive living room. Lots of parking space and the hot tub is perfect. Comes complete with a log burning fireplace!
