About Oakley Hall Hotel

Rectory Road leads out of Basingstoke into a stretch of Hampshire countryside, and it's here that Oakley Hall Hotel sits within its own grounds, gardens spreading around the building and giving the whole place a settled, countryside feel despite the town being close by. The setting is one of the hotel's strongest features, with the gardens regularly singled out as a highlight of a stay.

There are 47 rooms, each en-suite and finished to an elegant standard, with air conditioning, free WiFi and drinks available in room. Guests arrive to free on-site parking and can call on porter and concierge services, while a lift serves the building and laundry facilities are on hand for longer stays. The restaurant and bar are central to the experience, with the kitchen particularly known for its afternoon tea, and the hotel also caters for weddings and meetings, with dedicated function space for both.

Staff are consistently described as attentive and welcoming, and the overall experience is felt to offer good value for the standard on offer. Beyond the grounds, the surrounding area has a golf course, pubs, restaurants and other entertainment nearby, making Oakley Hall a comfortable base for exploring Hampshire's countryside or simply staying put and enjoying the gardens.

What a gorgeous hotel for an anniversary afternoon tea. Lovely staff, gorgeous grounds and top class service. Just a shame about the gluten free scone arriving in plastic packing. Such a let down!

We had the pleasure of having our wedding week finalise with a full day at Oakley Hall Hotel. The team had been helpful in the build up to events - a special thank you to Jenna, Rebecca who oversaw many of our prudent planning details and many others from the team like Lindsey, Harry to name a few who ensured a smooth running closer to the time. Provided weather is on your side Oakley has sufficient space to comfortably afford a 250 person dinner and dance or a full day affair with many nooks and crannies to explore during interim time.

Fantastic place! I stayed here at the beginning of April for the night before my wedding and night of my wedding. The staff were very pleasant, and helpful. The rooms we had booked were beautiful, clean, tidy and a decent size. Since the wedding we have taken my mum out for her birthday at the restaurant... food is outstanding!. 3 cause menu at every reasonable price, especially for the quality of the food and the whole service. Highly recommend!!
