This hotel was a complete letdown. Given its name and reputation, I arrived with high expectations, only to have them shattered the moment I stepped into the room. What greeted me was not comfort or luxury, but a masterclass in questionable design decisions. The bathroom, in particular, felt like it had been designed by someone who had only heard vague rumours of what a bathroom is supposed to look like. The lighting was so dim and gloomy that it felt more like an interrogation room than a place to get ready for the day. The sink was absurdly small, barely large enough to fit both hands under the tap at the same time. Most baffling of all, the shower stall had no door whatsoever. As if that wasn't enough, the shower floor appears to slope outward, allowing water to escape naturally from the stall and spread across the bathroom floor. Every shower became an exercise in flood management. I genuinely struggle to understand how such a design passed any safety inspection. Surely someone, at some point, looked at this and thought, "Perhaps water should remain inside the shower." Then there is the toilet. After a perfectly ordinary breakfast at Taco Bell, I returned to the hotel and relieved myself, only to discover that the plumbing seemed utterly incapable of handling its most basic purpose. After one massive dump, the toilet was clogged. It is astonishing that a hotel charging £778 for two nights would choose to economise on something as fundamental as functional pipes. What makes the experience even more frustrating is that the issues are not minor inconveniences; they are basic necessities that any guest should reasonably expect to work. At nearly £400 per night, I expected comfort, practicality, and attention to detail. Instead, I found poor design, inadequate facilities, and a level of frustration that no guest should have to endure at this price point. The only redeeming quality is the location, which is admittedly quite convenient. Unfortunately, a good location can only do so much. When the room itself feels like a costly experiment in how many corners can be cut before guests start questioning reality, it is difficult to overlook the shortcomings. For £778 for two nights, I expected a hotel experience. What I received felt more like an expensive lesson in managing disappointment.

We recently stayed here from Manchester UK and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The location is absolutely unbeatable right in the heart of Cathedral Quarter, just a short walk from all the main shops, restaurants, and top attractions like St Anne’s Cathedral and Victoria Square. Even Titanic Quarter and the Waterfront Hall are only about 10-15 minutes away on foot, making it so easy to explore everything around the city. The hotel itself feels modern, clean, and very well looked after. Our room was spacious, bright, and really comfortable, with a great walk-in power shower, fast free WiFi, and a smart TV which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the beds were so cosy we slept really well every night. All the little essentials like tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, iron and safe were there exactly as you need. The staff were absolutely brilliant everyone at reception was so friendly, welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. They answered all our questions, gave great recommendations for places to visit and were always ready to help with anything we needed. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant facilities during our stay, but everything else about the hotel was excellent. For the price you pay, it’s amazing value brilliant location, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and wonderful service. We’ll definitely be booking here again next time we visit Belfast!

The rooms were clean and the staff were genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which I appreciated. Breakfast was a highlight too! Good quality and variety. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. The hair dryer provided in our room started smoking, sparking, and got really hot while in use. We had to move rooms because it kept restarting by itself. The rooms also ran very warm with no real air flow, making it hard to get comfortable at night. The bathroom layout wasn't practical either. The shower isn't well contained, so water ends up going everywhere across the floor. Good location, friendly team, and solid breakfast, but the hair dryer incident and lack of ventilation are things I think management should look into.
