A truly impressive castle with a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful setting. The staff were absolutely fantastic — very friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history of the place. They were always happy to explain the rooms they were sitting in and tell interesting stories, which made the visit feel much more personal and engaging. One of my favourite details was the photograph of the family who lived there, shown at the beginning of the tour. I found it fascinating to see the actual people who once lived in the castle and to get a glimpse into their lives. It was much more meaningful than only seeing paintings, as it helped bring the history to life. The castle itself is beautiful and very impressive, with a lovely garden surrounding it. We visited in July during a period of drought, so unfortunately many flowers were already dried out and not at their best. However, I really appreciated how much nature has been preserved, with many beautiful trees and green areas still around the castle. A special highlight was the ancient tree along the path to the castle, which looked like it may have stood there for even longer than the castle itself. The location is also stunning, with views towards the coast and sheep in the surrounding landscape. A wonderful place combining history, nature, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Penryhn Castle is absolutely beautiful, definitely one of the best castles we have visited. A definite must to visit, it's worth every penny. Everything is well preserved and really looked after. My favourite place is The Grand Staircase. You can lose yourself for a good couple of hours exploring this ancient and historic site. We will return for sure.

We had a lovely visit where we were able to enjoy the castle gardens and play area along with the castle itself, the cafe and a slaters demonstration of the trade. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely and helpful offering interesting insights into the history of the place. Well worth a visit, and if your with Octopus check your app as you may have an offer for £8 entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children

The castle is interesting, but there isn't a great deal to do. Once you've toured the castle and had a walk around the grounds, there's not much else on offer, so it's an enjoyable but fairly short visit. There are plenty of parking spaces, the toilets are clean, and the café is good. If you enjoy walking and exploring the outdoors, this place is well worth a visit.
