About Gwern Gof Uchaf

Gwern Gof Uchaf is a tent campsite in Conwy near Betws Y Coed. Pitches are set among trees, offering some separation between tents. Each pitch is individual rather than open field camping. The site has showers for campers to use.

Located in the shadow of Tryfan, this campsite is ideal. It offers clean drinking water, comfortable showers, a BBQ fire starter kit, and even portable kitchen facilities if you require them

This was my first time camping in years and was very fortunate have picked a campsite like this. Easy check in, ample spots to choose to pitch, and it seemed that this place attracts the more "quiet" sort of person. Hardly a peep from anyone after 10pm. The location itself is beyond stunning. The loss of the one star is down to the toilet/shower facilitates, which I won't slate, but would recommend the owners do invest in doing it up a little bit. If you are a bit fussy about not having perfect conditions, this place may not be for you, but as a base for hiking/biking etc, it's perfect. Would return

Great camping spot! We have used the bunkhouse previously, camped with our tent and now have stayed here in our camper. All have been great easygoing stays. Its a relaxed place with a great view of the mountains and quick easy access to tryfan etc. the owners are new this year and seem super friendly. The price is great. The only thing that could be an improvement is a more regular proper cleaning routine for the showers and toilets.
