Adults-only stone guesthouse in Betws-y-Coed with 8 simply styled en-suite rooms, secure bike storage and easy access to Snowdonia trails.

About Fairhaven

Fairhaven's eight rooms keep things simple and uncluttered, each with its own en-suite bathroom, complimentary drinks and free WiFi laid on as standard. It's an adults-only stone guesthouse, so the atmosphere throughout stays calm and grown-up, spread across two floors with a garden to sit out in when the weather allows.

Mornings start with a cooked breakfast, and there's 24 hour reception for whenever you come and go. Cyclists are well looked after too, with secure storage for bikes on site, which suits the area given how popular it is for cycling and walking. Free parking is available nearby, making it an easy base whether you've arrived by car or on two wheels.

The location on Holyhead Road puts Betws-y-Coed's shops, pubs and restaurants within easy reach, alongside Snowdonia's walking trails and the nearby Swallow Falls. Fishing, golf, horse riding and watersports are all within striking distance too, so there's plenty to fill the days beyond the guesthouse itself.

We stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic stay! Warm and cozy room but still spacious. Netflix and communal fridge space were lovely touches, and the view from our room on the first floor was absolutely stunning! Very well located, just 5 minutes from the station and a stones throw from Pont-y-Pair Bridge. We will definitely be back!

The check-in process was a little stressful. The check-in details email wasn’t sent until 3:15pm on the day of arrival, despite check-in being from 3pm, so we were left waiting for access information. As phone signal/data is poor in North Wales, I actually had to go to a café to use Wi-Fi just to access the details and check in. The room itself was fine overall, although there were quite a few long dark hairs around the room, which definitely weren’t mine (I’m blonde), so cleanliness could have been better. The shower was small but absolutely fine for what we needed. I was a little surprised there was no shampoo provided, only body wash. The walls are very thin, and noise travelled quite easily between rooms — I could hear neighbouring guests very clearly (if you know what I mean) The location is great, but it’s worth noting that parking is down the road, which I hadn’t realised beforehand. Overall, the stay was okay, but based on my experience, I would probably choose to stay elsewhere next time.

Stayed in the Superior King Room 6. Decent sized room, clean and very comfortable king sized bed. Accomadation is located right in the middle of town close to all sites and amenities. Can be a little noisey when other guests slam doors but will definatley stay again.
