About Pont y Pair Inn

Pont y Pair Inn sits along Holyhead Road in Betws-y-Coed, where the surrounding Snowdonia countryside and the Conwy Valley make for easy walking and cycling straight from the door. It's a village pub with rooms rather than a grand hotel, and that character shows in the cosy bar and welcoming feel that runs through the place.

Rooms are en-suite, with family options available, and guests get free WiFi, drinks available in the room, and 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals. Downstairs, the restaurant and bar serve generous pub classics - fish and chips, pies, and Sunday roasts are particular favourites, with breakfast also included and outdoor seating for warmer days. Portions tend to be substantial and prices fair, though some dishes are reheated rather than cooked fresh, which is worth knowing if you're after everything made from scratch.

Staff are friendly and the pub welcomes dogs, making it a comfortable base for those exploring on foot or by bike. Fishing, golf, and watersports are all within reach nearby, and the area's walking routes and other pubs and restaurants are close by for evenings out.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and restaurant. Before ordering, we requested that our fish and chips be cooked in separate oil because we are Muslims and follow halal dietary requirements. The staff were very understanding, respectful, and happily accommodated our request without any hesitation. The fish and chips were fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. We truly appreciated the excellent customer service and the care they took to make us feel comfortable. It’s great to see a restaurant that respects different dietary needs. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!

Stayed here for night. Great hikes from the door step. Staff were amazing. Rooms very comfortable. Beds were soft. Windows are single glazed so can be noisy as it's right on the street in the middle of the town. Might be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Very clean but bathrooms could do with a little maintain. The pub has a lovely feeling to it. I had dinner and breakfast here (at a separate/additional cost) and they were both very good. Great variety. Things to be aware of/improve *No hotel parking but there is a car park across the road £8.50 for 24 hours overnight parking *Beds and pillows are very soft. Like fluffy clouds *Noise from street and pub but the location is central and perfect for hiking and convenient for amenities *Light in bathroom could be improved I would highly recommend this place

Have driven past this pub for many years on return trips to Ireland but never stopped. After spending a few days camping and walking around and up Snowdon we decided to pop in on the off chance for some well earned comfort food 20mins before the kitchen closed on a Saturday evening ……… Nothing to worry about and we were not disappointed! Friendly quick service and great food. Would highly recommend especially the pies.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from our 4th weekend break here. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Betws y Coed. Jen and Mike run a great place here. They work really hard to make sure guests and customers alike have everything they need for a pleasant stay/visit. All the staff are great, excellent customer service, attentive and friendly with a great sense of humour. They always make us feel like locals. We never leave without getting a Sunday roast which are lovely (and massive portions). We have stayed in 3 different rooms and there isn't one we wouldn't go back to. All have been clean and comfortable. The heating keeps the rooms nice and warm, there is a fridge and kettle in the room with a variety of tea and coffee bags. Complimentary toiletries are in the bathroom and the bed is so comfortable. The room prices are very reasonable for the area. We are already planning our return.
