Gorgeous park.lovely walk, kids can go there with scooters and bikes. At the top the playground has a good variety of equipment, you can buy food and drinks and the bathrooms. The car park is expensive but if you can park in the road you're set for the day!

Such a beautiful park. Will soon be 4 years living in bexleyheath and it’s 5mins from my house, it’s beautiful, lovely flowers too. One thing for the kids play area, not a fan of it not much to do and bad quality. But other than that, love walking by here.

Widely regarded as the finest green space in the Borough of Bexley, Danson Park is a breathtaking 200-acre estate that perfectly blends 18th-century landscape design with modern recreational life. At the park's majestic center stands Danson House, a Grade I listed Georgian villa that was once the seat of Sir John Boyd. The house, with its meticulously restored interiors, acts as a sophisticated backdrop to the sprawling lawns and ancient oak trees that define the park’s character. The true soul of the park, however, is the magnificent Danson Waters—a 20-acre shimmering lake designed by the legendary landscape architect Nathaniel Richmond. Whether you’re watching sailboats glide across the water or walking the scenic perimeter, the lake provides a sense of coastal serenity right in the middle of South East London. From the vibrant and fragrant English Garden to the historic Rock Garden and the bustling adventure playgrounds, Danson Park offers a diverse tapestry of experiences. It is a place where architectural history meets active outdoor adventure, making it a premier destination for explorers and families alike. Tips for your visit: • Danson House: Make sure to check the opening times for the house. The interior is a masterpiece of Georgian architecture and often hosts elegant weddings and cultural events. • Water Sports: The lake isn't just for looking! The Danson Park Adventures center offers opportunities for kayaking, rowing, and sailing for those who want to get out on the water. • The Boathouse: For a memorable meal, visit the Boathouse restaurant on the edge of the lake. It offers fantastic views and is a perfect spot for a sunset dinner. • Splashing Around: If you are visiting with kids during the summer, the park’s splash park is one of the best in the area and is a great way to cool off on a warm day. Danson Park is a sophisticated and expansive landscape that offers a regal escape into nature, history, and community fun. 🌳⛵🏛️
