Ok first things first, the website is super easy to nevigate to make a booking. If you're going on the weekedn book a slot for the pizzas that Pizza Bouys do. They are brilliant. Dont make the mistake we made and not order the Tirramisu. It looked amazing. From the moment we arrived we felt totally chilled. We stayed at Rabbits Rest which super cool. Had a bench and a large camoung space all for ourselves. Parking feels like its placed all over the site so you never feel like there's loads of cars. Lots of brilliant walks. We went on a loop that took in Silverhand Estates vineyeards and their pop up pub. A really welcome sight after a few miles in the blistering heat. I suppose the last thing ti say is that they use composting toilets which take a little to get used to be when you do you wonder why we use the kind of toilets we do. The shop is great and had everything we needed. Anyways we went a couple of weeks ago and I've already booked in again for this weekend to take my son there. I simnply cannot wait :-)

None of the toilet lights seemed to work, so have a torch ready. We went midweek and it was super peaceful. The weekend arrived and there was loud noise until just after 10, so be prepared if you have young ones. The tree cover made the temperature wonderful, giving some respite from the recent heat wave. The paths to tent pitches were all covered in bark, which I can imagine is great if it rains, plus looks nice. We didn't see any rubbish bins except for those at the main bin area on the exit road, so take some bags to collect all your rubbish (separated for recycling obviously). Also take some mosquito repellent as it was particularly bad this summer.

I loved my experience at this camp ground so much that I returned 3 weeks after and will definitely go back again! The staff are all friendly, welcoming and truly care about the woodland, it’s like you’ve stepped back in time when people had time to chat. The facilities are clean, well located and we found it very relaxing because the pitches are laid out in such a way that there is privacy and it feels like you’re secluded! We enjoyed the pizza and coffee they had onsite too. If you’re looking for somewhere not too far from London, with a couple of good walks, forest feel then this is the place!

We had a really lovely time here in these beautiful woods. Really well thought out facilities and pitch set ups. We went on some lovely walks in the woods and surrounding area. We stayed during a quite period so didn't get to check out all the activities this time, but we'll definitely be coming back to experience the place in full flow!
