About The Aston Inn

Aston Hall Road puts The Aston Inn within reach of a golf course and fishing nearby, along with a scatter of pubs, bars and restaurants for evenings out once you've settled in. It's a practical base for exploring central Birmingham, with free on-site parking taking the hassle out of arriving by car.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and family rooms for those travelling with children, who can also order from a kids' menu. The property runs as a proper pub-hotel hybrid, with a bar and restaurant on site, outdoor seating and a garden for quieter moments, plus meeting rooms if you're travelling for work. Staff are consistently helpful and the atmosphere leans lively, with entertainment laid on at the bar - though food can take a while to arrive at busier times.

Breakfast is a highlight, and free WiFi and 24 hour reception round out the practical side of a stay. It suits guests who want a sociable, pub-centred base with easy parking rather than a quiet retreat.

I had a fantastic stay at the Aston Inn and couldn’t be more impressed with the service. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and welcoming, but what truly made the experience exceptional was Joe. Joe went far above and beyond her duties to make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. She was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, always willing to help with anything needed and doing so with warmth and a smile. Her dedication to outstanding customer service did not go unnoticed and made a huge difference to my experience. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to ensuring guests feel valued and looked after. Joe is a real credit to the Aston Inn, and her hard work deserves recognition. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning in the future.

I stayed 1 night on the 28/2/2026, while attending a course at the Doug Ellis Centre. Booking was simplicity itself. The welcome was great from the bar staff. The room was immaculate, with tea/coffee facilities provided, bathroom was clean and well maintained. I had an evening meal and breakfast, both very nice indeed. Overall this is the place to stay for getting into Birmingham easily, and having a great stay. I will be returning on future dates.

Not impressed by the room at all. Headboard had come off the wall and had been left in the room leaning against the wall. Holes in the wall where the head rest used to be. Drawers full of screws and dirt. Shower smelled of damp and was mouldy. Holes in the duvet cover and dirty marks on the walls. TV wasn't working although the girl at reception did come and fix it for me. The staff are however absolutely lovely and the meal I had for dinner, cheeseburger and chips, was actually delicious. The bed was also very comfy.

Great Inn right near Villa Park. Pub area had pool and snooker table, dart board a lovely beer garden and at night DJ. Pub all themed around Aston Villa which my son loved. Rooms were nice and I have to say one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept on. Staff and locals in bar all very friendly creating a great atmosphere.
