About The Norfolk Hotel

A restaurant and bar on site give The Norfolk Hotel a straightforward base for breakfast, an evening meal or a drink without needing to leave the building. It sits among the practical extras that matter for a stay in Birmingham: free on-site parking, a lift, and laundry service for anyone travelling for more than a night or two.

Rooms are modern and functional, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and family and accessible options for those who need them. The hotel also has six conference spaces, making it a reasonable choice for business visitors as well as those passing through the city. It's a low-key, no-nonsense sort of place rather than a destination in itself.

Hagley Road puts guests within reach of further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, along with other entertainment options, so there's no shortage of choice beyond the hotel's own restaurant and bar. Wi-Fi is available throughout for anyone needing to stay connected during their stay.

The room was basic but I had a decent nights sleep and the staff were attentative and friendly enough. The room itself was spotless and the bathroom was surprisingly large. Considering half the hotels in the area are twice the price it was ok value. Walls were a bit thin and aircon was none existant but I cant complain. Perks - Good location and bus routes Considerably cheaper than local alternatives Comfortable room Obliging staff Downside - Lack of modernisation No aircon Lack of sound insulation in the walls

Sticky carpet, thin duvet and an old rug cut as bed warmer, looked like it wasn't washed. Worst was the bed bugs. TV and lift were not working. I don't have any problem with old furniture or lack of modern decor, considering the room price. But it should be clean, and no bed bugs.

Staff were helpful and polite but the hotel needs a lot of redecoration and carpets replaced. our room was equipped with everything specified but the security of the door was very questionable as the door has been previously forced open and the shattered door frame not replaced. the best thing was the breakfast lots to choose from and a fair price for it, would have got 3 stars if the residents had priority of parking at the front of the hotel instead of the guests of a wedding reception held there when we arrived, in general, very disappointed

I would give no stars if I could. Vile and disgusting is just a few of the words I would use to describe this place. I don't even think it deserves the title hotel. I came here once 7 years ago it was bad then. I had a semi decent room though with a nice marble bathroom that looked decent but like it belonged to another hotel Listen for the price you are better of waaaay better off staying in a travel lodge or premier inn. It's just a disgusting place to stay and depressing. My heart goes out to any families especially the children staying in it, pretty sure most people that stay here stay due to the council putting them there. Or have been tricked into the nice clean images. It's a disgrace. Constant drilling all morning. Like what are you trying to do because the whole thing needs knocking down really!!
