What visitors say
Absolutely lovely day out, we visited as a family with a toddler. Really nice outdoor play area for kids also had picnic tables under trees which is perfect during a heatwave. The planes, tanks, cars bombs and everything in-between were really cool, I liked the way some of them were upside down or vertical as if they were flying. Alot of history for anyone who is an avid historian. I would definitely recommend to everyone, we were there from 10am till around 4:30pm so we definitely made the most of it.

Great day out, free entry , you di have to pay parking. Nice cafe with good selection of food and drinks , plenty of little shops for gifts . Set on RAF cosford the museum is stunning . 3 hangers full to the brim of military aircraft, and other vehicles . history of each plane etc told through detailed boards , videos and earphones. Definitely worth a visit , I'll be back for one of their airshows

We had a fantastic time visiting the RAF Museum at Cosford. If you have any interest in aviation or history, this place is an absolute must-see—and the fact that general admission is completely free is incredible! Just pay for parking. There were planes from many periods, including planes from the early days of aviation, WW1, WW2 the Cold War era etc. Standing underneath them really gives you a sense of scale that photos just can't capture. The only downside to my visit was that Hangar 1 is currently closed while they do some major refurbishment work on it. Even with that section closed off, there is still so much to see across the rest of the site that it easily fills a few hours. The staff and volunteers were super friendly and happy to share their knowledge, and the whole site is really well laid out. Just make sure you book your free entry ticket online before you go! I'll definitely be returning once the Hangar 1 works are finished.
