What diners say
Beautiful food and a wonderful dining experience. The cod was the standout dish - perfectly cooked and paired with incredibly fresh, flavourful tomatoes. The wild boar pappardelle was also delicious, with fresh, perfectly cooked pasta. The boar itself was full of flavour, although the meat was slightly on the dry side. Given that the restaurant is on the pricier side, you do expect the dishes to be spot on, so the dryness of the meat was a little disappointing. The artichoke starter was enjoyable, but it was our least favourite dish. I love artichokes, but the deep fried batter overpowered their delicate flavour. Overall, the service was excellent and the food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would return.

I squeaked in here without a reservation at 11.30am when they opened, on a weekday. 1st day waiter Osaro welcomed me, closely followed by head waiter Romeo. Romeo keeps a watchful eagle eye on the entire room and is the sort of professional Italian waiter every diner wishes for. By 12.15 the tables were packed! I had an Aperol spritz aperitif, which was priced at £13 and larger than normal size. Still or sparkling water is plain 'house' brand and £3.50 gets you a 1 L bottle. Great! I ordered the Tarallini, as a starter, because I've never had it before. It's a little circular dry biscuit. I asked for a little pot of passata from the kitchen, which went beautifully with it. @management = menu suggestion - serve the Tarallini with small pots of passata and olive oil and a little price/picture card that says 'from our kitchen to yours'. The passata was rich, smooth, made of perfectly ripe tomatoes, their beautiful light olive oil, a bit of salt and nor much else- as it should be. For my main, I ordered the Orrechiette con Polpette (little thumbprint pasta pieces with meatballs). The portion size was good. It almost goes without saying that the pasta was freshly hand-made and perfectly cooked. The meatballs were exquisite, made of super-finely minced beef with pork, and a perfect texture. The beef had clearly been roasted with love and care to bring out the rich beef undertone. I finished the meal with a small glass of fresh limoncello served in an ice cold glass - delicious! Book a table!

We came without booking at New Year’s Eve and although there were lots of reservations and people, he made an effort to welcome us and find a table. The food was amazing, unique taste of common known Italian meals. The portions are relatively small but worth trying it. Idk if it was because of that special night but we had to wait a lot for the food and even for the bill at the end- the service could have been better and more efficient but I think the staff were really trying their best that night. Overall absolutely recommended.

Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant – A Hidden Gem with Great Food Terra Rossa is truly a hidden-place restaurant, tucked away but well worth the walk. You can easily walk there, and although cars and motorbikes can access the area, the restaurant itself gets quite crowded, especially during peak hours. If you’re visiting with a group, I’d strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. I was lucky to get a walk-in table. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with beautiful décor and a cozy Italian feel that makes the place inviting for both families and friends. The food choices are excellent, and instead of spending too much time on the menu, I asked the waiter for recommendations—which turned out to be a great decision. The dishes were well presented and full of flavor. My son really enjoyed the ravioli and his pizza, and the portions were perfect for him. I’m not entirely sure what my dish was called, but it was rich, comforting, and very satisfying. One small flaw I noticed was that there were some chipped or broken dishes used on the serving table. I’m not sure if this is part of the restaurant’s style, but personally, I prefer clean, intact dishes, especially when dining with a child. For me, it’s mainly about safety and hygiene, and this is something the restaurant could easily improve. Overall, Terra Rossa offers great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. With a little more attention to tableware details, it would be an even better dining experience. I’d still happily return—and next time, I’ll be sure to book ahead.
