About Club Quarters St Pauls
Ludgate Hill runs steeply toward St Paul's Cathedral, and it's on this historic City of London street that Club Quarters St Pauls makes its home, surrounded by the offices, churches and river crossings that define the Square Mile. It's a setting that puts guests within easy reach of the cathedral itself and the wider City, with the Thames and its bridges not far beyond.
The hotel has 265 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and room service on request, though some guests have found the air conditioning inconsistent and the rooms not always as quiet as they'd like. Facilities extend to a bar, a snack bar, breakfast service, a gym, meeting rooms and business services, making it as suited to work trips as leisure stays, with a lift, luggage storage and laundry service covering the practical side. Pets are welcome, and concierge staff are on hand to help with local recommendations.
Guests consistently note the cleanliness of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff. Beyond the front door, the City of London offers restaurants, pubs and entertainment within walking distance, alongside the obvious draw of St Paul's Cathedral itself.
What guests say
The hotel was not bad, and the room was clean. However, I believe the customer service could have been much friendlier. After we checked out, we left our luggage by the entrance while waiting for our Uber, which is a common and normal thing to do. One of the reception staff then came to us and asked when we were going to move our luggage from the entrance, which made us feel unwelcome. When our Uber arrived, we asked the reception if someone could help us carry the luggage outside. The receptionist immediately replied that all the staff were busy without even trying to contact anyone. To be fair, she eventually came and helped us herself, and I appreciate that. However, the issue was not the help itself, but the way the situation was handled. A little more courtesy and willingness to assist would have made a much better impression. Overall, the hotel was clean and acceptable, but the customer service needs improvement

Very nice room. When we stay in London we will com here again. The room was not big but had the necessary amenities- A/C, cleanliness, and good service. Laundry facilities there too. This place is close to the cathedral and relatively close to public transit. Restaurant downstairs. Great job.

Loved the hotel’s location — it was quiet, close to the city center, and well connected by public transportation. My only issue was that the room rates did not reflect the value offered. The rooms felt quite small, with narrow layouts and limited space. The beds were also relatively small, making it less comfortable, especially for couples. That said, I was very pleased with the staff and the overall service, which were excellent throughout my stay. Unfortunately, due to the room size and value for money as well for the poor soundproofing system , I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Great stay here. I was traveling for work with two colleagues and we all agreed the hotel was perfect for our needs. There's a large, elegant lounge on the first floor, which was a very convenient place to sit and work. Marianna at the front desk, as well as the man working overnight (whose name I didn't get), were SO helpful when I needed to print some documents. There's a laundry room, which one of my colleagues used and appreciated. The suite wasn't that large, but the layout was good, and it is central London. I agree with other reviewers that this may be more of a 3 star than 4 star hotel in terms of fanciness, but it was a super comfortable and convenient place to stay and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.
