About Canasta Hotel

Step into a room at the Canasta Hotel and you'll find a comfortable bed, a large television and, in many cases, a sea view over the Promenade. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. That said, maintenance is not always consistent, and some guests have found the hot water unreliable, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly.

Canasta Hotel sits right on 288 Promenade in Blackpool, Lancashire, with a bar, breakfast and free WiFi included as standard, plus a games room for evening entertainment. Staff are frequently singled out as a highlight, with a genuinely welcoming host making up for any rough edges elsewhere in the building.

The location is hard to fault for getting around: Blackpool North station is close by, and the Promenade puts the town's attractions, including Blackpool Tower, within easy reach. Pubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues are all nearby, and for those wanting to get outdoors there's golf, fishing, cycling, walking and watersports in the surrounding area.

I won't recommend this hotel to tourist even though it shows 3.2 rating it should have been like 1, firstly they dont have hot water all the day, secondly the employee working there charging tourist with deposit money telling while returning your room was not good even though the room was clean and tidy. Both manager and employee they are good compliance with sharing the money. Lastly, normal water doesn't come properly it takes around 1 hr for a person to take bath. Personally I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

An absolute disgrace of an establishment. We were left without hot water for our entire stay, and the bathroom water pressure was practically non-existent. Whenever we tried to report these issues, the staff were incredibly dismissive and completely ignored our complaints. They are quick to take your hard-earned money but refuse to provide even the most basic human comforts. Save your trip and stay anywhere else!

(Totally utter waste of money - Avoid!) An absolute nightmare of a stay at the Canasta Hotel. This place is an utter waste of money and needs to be avoided at all costs. The basic room amenities are terrible: the water in the bathroom only comes out as a slow drip, and there is absolutely NO hot water available to take a proper shower. The cleanliness is shocking—both the windows and the blankets were dirty and completely uncleaned. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi signal is useless and completely unreachable from the room. To top off the awful facilities, the management tried to charge extra money without any valid reason. Unprofessional, unhygienic, and deeply dishonest. Do not waste your time or money here.

We were transferred to this hotel from their sister hotel, sunny days, after our room was broken into and they refused a refund, telling us we can move to the other hotel that's better. This was just as bad with a drunk manager, no hot water, faulty loos and no towels or loo roll. We had to pay for another hotel as booking.com and the hotel both refused a refund due to the other party being responsible for the refund. This will be explained to trading standards when we return home.
