About Hayward Hotel
Blackpool's seafront attractions are within easy reach of Dickson Rd, where the Hayward Hotel offers a straightforward base for a short stay. The town's mix of piers, promenade and entertainment is on the doorstep, with the Tower and Pleasure Beach both close by, and parking is available for those arriving by car.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, who can also order from a kids' menu. That said, some rooms are showing their age and could do with more upkeep, so this suits guests after a no-frills stay rather than polished surroundings. Breakfast is served on site, there's a bar for evening drinks, and reception is staffed around the clock.
Beyond the hotel, Blackpool offers pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, along with golf, fishing, cycling and walking areas for those wanting to explore further afield, and watersports for the more active. Staff are noted for being helpful and accommodating, which counts for a lot on a quick trip to the seaside.

Stayed there for a night while I was at rebellion festival..a no frills place but clean and nice.. others have given it absolutely terrible reviews saying things like it's got bed bugs And filthy? which all is untrue from my experience..the landlord is a nice chap aswell helping me out with where to park, which was only 2 min walk away..all in all it's a great little hotel with character and I like that..and if you want all the fancy upmarket bells and shiny whistles go elsewhere.. what do you want for £32..the hanging garden's of Babylon.. I was in room 16 right at the top..I had a double bed and ensuite and it was fine..so I'll be back again..and it's only 5-10 minutes walk to the wintergardens and all the action going on.. I've given it full marks as it's spot on for what I needed..👍

We booked several rooms here as part of a large birthday trip to Blackpool and, overall, it worked really well for what we needed. The location was great, and having the hotel as a base for the day made a huge difference. We were able to safely leave our bags, freshen up, get changed between activities and regroup throughout the day, which worked perfectly for our group. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we really appreciated their help during our stay. The rooms themselves are fairly basic and could benefit from a little updating here and there. A fresh coat of paint and a bit of a refresh would go a long way. That said, for the price, the location and the amount of space available for our group, it represented good value and served its purpose well. If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation in a convenient location, it's definitely worth considering.

A very bad joke. It was an absolute disaster, from the service to the room. As soon as you enter the building, it looks like an horror movie with a bad budget. The staff couldn't care less, and gave us a bedroom which was flooded! On top of that, the door wouldn't close nor lock. We asked to change and got the answer that the hotel was fully booked, although it was clear that the hotel was totally empty. They finally offered us another one, with a broken lock, as if someone had broken in before. The sheets were dirty, no curtains to block the light, one towel for both of us. The bathroom looked so disgusting that we skipped showering. The whole place looked awful and creepy. I don't even understand how this hotel can still be open! It has to close down!

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. When we arrived, the room was in a very poor condition. There was mould on the ceilings, the floors were dirty, there were no remote controls for the TVs, and the shower was dangerously hot and difficult to use safely. We chose not to complain during our stay because we didn’t want to make a fuss. However, since returning home, I have developed what appear to be bed bug bites all over my leg, and both of my daughters have now developed the same bites. This has been extremely upsetting and has left us very concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the hotel. Overall, our experience was very disappointing, and the condition of the room was far below what we expected. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously and addresses them so that future guests do not have the same experience.
