180-room hotel on Blackpool's North Promenade, an easy walk from Blackpool Tower and Stanley Park, with parking on site.

About The Imperial Hotel

Blackpool Tower and the wide green spaces of Stanley Park are both within easy reach of The Imperial Hotel, making North Promenade a practical base for exploring the resort. The seafront itself is on the doorstep, with entertainment, restaurants and watersports all nearby, and golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes accessible for those wanting to venture further afield.

The hotel has 180 rooms, many with sea views, and guests consistently note their spacious feel and the building's historic character. Facilities extend to a restaurant, bar, indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna, and a games room, alongside business and concierge services, an accessible-room offering and a dedicated bridal suite for weddings. Breakfast is a particular strength, with food generally well regarded and staff noted for their friendliness. That said, some rooms have been reported as showing their age, so it's worth setting expectations on decor rather than luxury.

Free WiFi, laundry service, luggage storage and a lift are all provided, and kids' meals are available for family stays. Parking is on site, useful given the North Promenade location, and the garden offers a quieter spot away from the seafront bustle.

Repeater guest & just had two night stay in a cosy sea view room 4th floor. It's a lovely hotel, very relaxing feel. Love the traditional decor. Can't fault food or the rooms. 2 tram stops from centre of Blackpool & also not too far to walk. The staff are attentive to your needs. Had especially nice surprise on arrival this time, the receptionist on the desk use to be at another hotel we've stayed at. He is perfect in the role & brilliant for first face to face contact with guests on arrival. I wish him well & hope he stays.

This is an old lady of a hotel with lots of history. It’s a grand building and a great hotel. The rooms/decor are tired but that’s really all that I can say could be improved. The staff are great and the food is much improved. Nightly entertainment in the bar area too. Great location .

Liked · A good location and the staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Victorian building and it's original architecture fixtures and fittings from that era. Sadly now it's not being looked after. Disliked · Queuing half an hour to check in and the bed was uncomfortable. General shabbiness of the whole hotel in need of a sympathetic refurb.

We stayed at this lovely Victorian Hotel from 2nd to 4th June 2026 in the Master Sea View 2 bedroom suite (room 111). The views of the Irish sea are absolutely stunning from the large bay windows in the lounge area. Bedroom 1 has a large 4 poster bed whilst bedroom 2 has twin beds. There is plenty of storage space in each bedroom. There is also a TV in each bedroom and the lounge area. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, twin sinks and toilet at the end. There were plenty of towels provided. The spacious lounge area has everything you need, from comfy seating to a dining table and 4 chairs. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and there is also a mini fridge in the cupboard next to the TV. There are no USB charging points which you shouldn't expect in an old elegant building so take your own plugs to change phones etc. There are plenty of sockets for your own charging plugs. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast is a buffet all you can eat and there is plenty of choice. The evening meal is a menu based meal with a choice of 2 menus. A set menu consisting of 3 courses which changes daily whilst the 2nd menu stayed the same. The staff are absolutely amazing and really look after you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone but be aware there is a charge of £14.00 per night to park on the hotel car park. However you can risk parking for free on the street around the hotel.
