I last visited the Muckleburgh Military Collection as a child, so returning as an adult with my fiancée was nice, you naturally have more of an appreciation for everything there. The collection is the largest privately owned military museum in the UK, housing everything from tanks and armoured cars to artillery, missiles, bombs and a fascinating range of weapons and uniforms. The main focus is around the World Wars and Cold War of course, though there are some items dating as far back as the late 1700s! There is genuinely something around every corner. Everything is very well labelled and some areas are covered in extensive detail, so you don't need to be an expert to understand what you're looking at. The museum sits on the site of a former WWII Royal Artillery anti-aircraft training camp, and you can still see details that give this place a wonderful sense of authenticity. There's also a café which is large and airy. We'd already made other plans for lunch so didn't eat here ourselves, but it looked good and seemed decent value. The gift shop is nice too, we picked up a couple of keyrings on the way out. I'd say plan for around two to three hours, though you could easily spend longer if there's something of particular interest to you. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited whilst staying at Kelling Heath, a lovely place to see a vast amount of military memorabilia and vehicles! A great layout and kept tidy! The cafe was fantastic, fresh cooked food, lovely friendly chef and great value for money! The lorry ride was great the, kids loved it! Would highly recommend visiting.

Visited early morning, lots of parking and lots of disabled spaces. So many interesting displays. Artefacts are so interesting and very different from a lot of museums. Added bonus of tank driving experiences. Cafe is spacious and very accessible. Be prepared to be there for a few hours as there is so much to see. Excellent vehicle and tank displays. Lots of anti aircraft and artillery guns on view as well as some impressive displays of small arms. The model displays are also impressive. An excellent museum and well worth a visit.

A great collection and the models are fantastic. The lorry ride is a must at only £3 it is very bumpy though but that adds to the fun of it. Highly recommended!
