What visitors say
Pitches are a good size and there is a good mix of camping, motorhomes and caravans. Quite a few seasonal pitches dotted around too. Great location for the local area - we spent a lot of time exploring out and about around the coast. Our children enjoyed feeding the animals with Farmer Mike. We were told on arrival that it's very relaxed here. We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and May half term which seemed exceptionally busy. We did enjoy our stay however we wouldn't return due to the amenities block. One amenities block/converted farm barn to serve the whole site just isn't enough and it didn't appear to be cleaned regularly/thoroughly. By the end of the day, the showers were disgusting - full of hair in the drain, abandoned bottles and used female sanitary products. During our 7 day stay, we saw the cleaners just once. There is a playground and sports field which is available for the children to use but it is tucked out of the way in a different field behind hedges and tricky to supervise all of the time and give kids independence when playing. As others have said, this site was popular with larger groups and the quiet curfew wasn't policed as effectively as it could have been.

Absolutely fantastic site. Great location, friendly staff, facilities spot on. This has to be one of the most welcoming, spacious, laid back, relaxing sites we've been on. Location brilliant for walking, woodland trails, Kelling heath site easy reach for pub. Food vans which come on certain nights look lovely (even though we didn't try, did have a snoop), will try them next time. Toilet/shower block kept very clean by staff regularly in checking. Can't wait to come back.

This is a lovely campsite with plenty of space and nice flat pitches. The site itself is well laid out and has a really relaxed feel to it. Unfortunately, the experience was completely let down by the toilet and shower facilities. With over 300 pitches and well over 1,000 people on site, having just one toilet block simply isn’t enough. Because of this, the toilets and showers became absolutely disgusting during our stay. The cleaners only seemed to appear once a day, and sadly the standard of cleaning was very poor. The whole block needs a proper industrial deep clean and, with the number of people staying there, should realistically be cleaned at least three times a day. It’s such a shame because if the toilet facilities matched the quality of the campsite itself, we would happily return every year. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won’t be coming back.
